Whittier ADU Construction

The Whittier project involved the construction of an approximately 800-square-foot Accessory Dwelling Unit on an existing residential property. In addition to the ADU, CoreFrame Builders constructed an attached storage room and added a restroom to serve the property's existing pool house.

The project required careful coordination with existing site conditions, particularly the property's plumbing infrastructure. Completely replacing the plumbing connection to the street would have required extensive additional work and significantly increased the homeowner's costs.

Rather than proceeding with a complete replacement, CoreFrame Builders helped identify an alternative solution that involved sleeving the existing pipes. This approach allowed the necessary plumbing connections to be addressed without rebuilding the entire line to the street, helping reduce unnecessary construction and additional expense.

The project also experienced challenges during the inspection process. Although drawings had already been permitted, inspection requirements resulted in multiple revisions and interruptions throughout construction. CoreFrame Builders continued coordinating the required changes and inspections to keep the project progressing toward completion.
